even though counting down this early may seem meaningless, however, i use it as a motivation factor.
it has been more than a month since i last blogged.
the past 1 month, i have experienced a rather different phase in ns life
i was in sembawang camp and kaki bukit camp, managing military vehicles – the land rover and the 3 tonner

course is coming to an end soon, hopefully. but i really enjoyed my time in there, especially with all the specs i know in the same bunk.
they are really a fun group of people.
after going through this driving course, i really changed my perception of drivers being a slack vocation
we actually went through alot in the course
test, assessment, test assessment,  test assessment.
that’s our daily routine
never a day where we can really slack off because there is always a test/assessment coming up

anyway i passed the hardest test ever, the HSP! im relived.
i hope those who hadnt passed be able to pass soon!

Time passes so fast, or perhaps, so slow. I am already a 6 month soldier. Things have been rather managable and becoming increasingly slacker as time passes. I am thankful, I am glad that I actually am going through NS. Although every second, minute that I am inside camp was never pleasant, I am grateful and thankful that I am in it. Why? I have made alot of new friends, friends whom I know will go through thick and thin with you, friends whom I know will be willing to lend you their listening ear when needed, friends who are concern about you.
Have also gone through many obstacles in army and learnt multiple stuffs that I will never get to learn as a civilian.
I am thankful, I am grateful.

My long weekend was long awaited for, reason being the supposedly long weekends that we were supposed to have for the past 3 months had been taken away for some reasons, and they returned them, together with our off in lieus all together within the 2 weeks. I had mine last week which I spent it on kbox, mahjong. As compared, this week’s long weekend is actually a more relaxing one, as there is more time for myself.

Yeps, went prawning on thursday with Yongdi, Shiliang and Jeffrey. The world is actually quite small, I never knew Shiliang and Jeffrey knew Yongdi until Yongdi told me Shiliang was in his same platoon. Jeffrey happened to be posted to 35 sce too, and happened to know yongdi too. And thus, we get to clique. Prawning is a very relaxing activity, as most of the time, we sat there, waited and talk cock. Managed to catch 11 prawns in total(supposedly 13, as jeffrey let away 2 of them…), of course we went to bbq them and ate them

After prawning, we decided to head to the singapore flyer to eat popeye’s chicken and we asked aron out. Its amazing how me and aron bicker over very lame stuffs which is very very fun. Apologies to shiliang and jeffrey who may have have felt left out then. But well, they made a new friend, the childish aron. xP

I am thankful for the outing too!

The past week was super super busy and shag for me
because the past week was Army Open House! Anyone went? Fun for you, but not for me!

Lets talk about the Army Open House 2009. AOH09 this year is organised by Combat Engineers, and thus we had hell lot of preparations to do, right from building of tentages to the presentation of the event itself!

I will never forget the days of preparation, the tekan session we had on the first day of AOH, the cute kids that visited the tunnel, as well as my mum and my sis and bf and Alrik who visited me during my duty!  I am very very grateful for that!

Army Open House has ended, and I am glad that I have survived it through. I am also glad that the whole of Platoon 2 had survived it through under hot sun everyday from 8.30am all the way till 6pm. Despite all became very very tanned, and suffered sunburns, i believe its all worth it, because the event was a successful one after all! Cheers to PLT 2!

Thursday – Went out with all the ARMCEG! haha.. quite fun though, supposed to have plt bbq at night but i cldnt make it cause i meeting my fren who came back from France! Aron, u better read this, Im mentioning you!

well my stay in alpha hasnt been pleasant recently but i guess i just have to endure through
supposedly my course is to end today and because of some cock ups on their side this week’s training programme has to be postponed to next week.

oh well there goes my off in lieu :(

they tried to return it on wednesday but we all knew it was different
due to the change in training programme, slack week becomes this week
and siong week becomes next week

oh well there goes my course closing ceremony and coy cohesion(there is really no time for that)

anyway have yet to been able to sleep properly everyday for the past 2 weeks already, and every book out i will be damn bloody tired. i shant state why i couldnt sleep properly lah. not nice to reveal.

anyway, hopefully BPC gg to past very soon and next saturday can have an early morning book out :)

You know how annoying it is when u noe u are so close to passing and u re tried and re tried and u are still at the fail but close to pass boundary? Yesterday’s Basic Theory Test(which I have already passed outside) in the silt room in camp dampens my mood by alot alot alot..

Without revising anything of BTT since i passed the test half a year ago, and I am made to sit the test again due to the stupid bridging vehicle.

So i sat in front of the com, and realised that the passing mark is 90%

and i was initially quite confident tt i could pass because i had passed it outside
and i end up getting 86%, 88% for more than 10 tries

this is the most annoying paper i have sat and i have learnt from my frens how they passed the paper and I SHALL PASS IT SOON!

Hi guys, im back to blogging again.

The things that occurred recently had brought me down to a low side of my life, again. The reason why i mentioned again, was because the previous time I had my low side was in end J1 and early J2. If you had been reading my blog entries, you would have understood what really happened during that time, and how much internal struggle I had gone through, alone.

Perhaps life’s like that, good things and bad things will just come into your way, it only depends on how am I supposed to react to it. 2008 and 2009 were not pleasant to me as many things did not go smoothly, had quite a few problems which I insist on solving it on my own. 2008 was a bad year, not only because of the series of events that occured at my cca with my irresponsible cca mates, and unreasonable cca teacher in charge, but also because of the hard studying and preparing times for the ‘A’ levels. Time was so critical at that time and my mood, as well as others were easily swayed, and conflicts will arise.  Of course it may be my bad for not able to manage the situation properly. However, despite the fact that I claim that I have got over that matter totally, but frankly speaking, I hadn’t.

That situation had made me realise how weak I was when I am handling such situations, and how much I need to improve on myself.  That period of time was hard to pass, as my heart was filled with disappointments, anger and apologies. The feeling of not getting what you want after you invested your heart and soul into it is seriously heart wrenching. Many, except my close friends couldn’t tell that I was in such a moody state as I didnt want to affect other people.

Preparation for ‘A’ levels was not an easy process. Engrossing myself into notes, assessments, mock tests for practically 12-14 hours everyday at Changi Airport with my best buds, Yong Di and Alrik was a hard process. I had lots of mixed feelings during the mugging times, as I hadn’t got over what had happened, and there were many a times I couldn’t understand what people were thinking, and why are they behaving this way. It’s like howcome some people can still chit chat and play and waste so much of their time when their ‘A’ levels were drawing near. Then come to think of it, it may be because they were more efficient than me, and I am the one with problems. I have learnt how to accept people’s attitude and behaviour.

2009, of course, I am obliged to serve the country. Yeps, being physically unfit is one thing that troubles me, and i had struggled a fair bit in bmt and finally managed to up my fitness, and lose some weight, of course. However, to the ideal situation, i still need somemore work. I’m glad that NS managed to take me off from my troubles to a certain extent, however the troubles still exists. My ‘A’ level results were not satisfactory, as least to me, and I landed myself into a course which i do not like. I felt upset over howcome the effort that i put into my studies did not equal out in the results that i desire, as well as the course i desire. Seriously, if there is another chance, i would like to take ‘A’ levels again, however, come to think of it, I have already studied so hard and i still get this kind of results, i had doubts over my own ability.

On my way to having dinner with my mum, tears unintentionally dropped off from my eyes. I seriously wondered why I teared, it seems that the problems that I had is a bit too much for me to cope. Maybe I have to really sit down and reflect and think carefully about what I really want and my purpose in life. To be honest, I had already had plans on my future life, but it seems bleak because I could not get into the course I want and required for me to proceed with my plan. However, i will not lose hope, i will still not give up trying to get into that course. Now its time for me to really think in detail on what i really want. I’m glad that NS gave me 2 yrs to seriously think about it.

It’s time to end this emo post.
